Family stargazing

Christmas Eve in the back garden under crystal clear dark sky. Accompanied by Dad and Father in Law, the former of which bought me a Tasco 60mm Frac when I was 11 years old.

I set up my HEQ5 with SW ED80 Pro and selected just 4 targets - M42, M31, Double Cluster and M45. Let the two old boys take their first look and to say they were beaming would be an understatement! Mind you the fact all three of us had a Bushmills Irish Whiskey each made the experience that little bit more festive.

Lovely story. It's what it's all about - sharing the night sky. I took my father in law out with the bins on Christmas Eve and he loved it.

I remember sharing views of Comet Halley with my mother and grandfather (who saw it as a child).
