First Ha sketch - sort of 15/12/14

Managed to get the prom detail down before the clouds rolled in. Annoying as there was a mass of surface/disc detail visible in the pst mod. Only my lack of skill prevented lots more detail being represented.

Might try the background shading in white light for faculae. The large detached prom was a peach.

Looks like a great start to Ha sketching Shane. I managed only a glimpse of the sun today but was shocked to see the number of sunspots dotted all over the surface.

Shane, nice sketch, very tough to do Ha, harder than white light I think.

I've yet to crack a credible way of doing faculae which doesn't look rubbish!!

I think I may have to increase my scale to get more detail in. My current sktches are only about 80mm diametet
