ronin
No answer, are you looking to spend £50 or £500 per eyepiece??You can if you try just a little bit spend £1000+ on one.So which is best is a somewhat irrelevant question unless you do want to get regardless a set of say 6 eyepieces at £500 each so £3000. But even then they do not remove the CA from an ST80 if you happened to have one.
John
The best and with a very wide angle of view ?- Nikon Nav HW's ?- Docter UWA 12.5mm ?- Tele Vue Ethos ?Not quite so wide but still superb:- Pentax XW- Tele Vue Delos- Leica ASPH 8.9 - 17.9 zoom ?- Nikon NAV SWThe budget would need to allow for between £280 and £900 per eyepiece for these (Pentax XW and Delos are the least expensive)
John
PS: I forgot the Takahashi UW series - $500 and upwards apiece.
alan potts
John,You did also forget to say that some of those are rather difficult to get ones hands on, The Nikons and Doctor 12.5mm.To the OP it also depends what focal length of eyepiece you have in mind as the 31mm Nagler is also very good and could be called a wide field eyepiece but is more for lower powers but still is effective at wallet emptying
denis0007dl
For me, Pentax XW are NO1 in this regard!
