Solar_observer Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 Yes they are ACTIVE proms called "post flare loops". They are mainly associated at the very end of a large flare or just after. It's the plasma getting caught up in the new magnetic field which is there because of magnetic reconnection ie the cause of a flare. Tony Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
