My HEQ5 died...

Hi.

My HEQ5 is not working Power is on - red power LED is lit, but I have a massage "No link to M.C." on hand-controller and mount is not sweling... Motherboard is fired? If yes, how much it will cost my to fix it? Ech....

Could hopefully just be a dodgy cable between handset and mount , a Cat5 "Patch lead" will allow you to check this before anything else ...

It is not a cable issue... inside light from polar scope is not lighting, so I'm pretty sure that it is motherboard question is, where to call and much it will cost... :/

There is a chap on Astronomyshed called Steelfixer who does repairs to mounts.  Not sure if it's more the mechanical side or the electrics or both he can fix.

Im sorry to hear of your problem, i got my HEQ5 soaked a week ago and haven't dared to try to power it up yet

I know that this seems a stupid question but have you checked all the connection points on your cables, obviously that still wouldn't explain why the polar scope isn't lit up

Because the polar scope is not lit up, I am nearly sure that motherboard is fired and this is not cable connection issue. I will call to Graham(thanks swang72 ).
