Access to Atik camera driver

Hi

I'm trying to learn and write some VB code to automate my imaging setup.

Could someone possibly explain (or point me at a resource that explains) how I can access the Atik driver to check whether the camera is idle, downloading etc.. I'd also like to be able to control the camera from my program too if possible.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look on the Atik site they have a software development kit.

If there is an ASCOM driver, then all is easy. Do you use Maxim?

Dave - I'll install the SDK and have a play.

Per - I'm fairly happy with the ASCOM side of things but I was hoping to work from the native driver - is there an difference between native and ASCOM drivers in terms of data collected (is that a daft question?). No - I don't have Maxim - I'm on SGP.
