Very quick Orion (of course:) from back yard

It's been quite a while since I last had a chance to at least point a camera to the heavens, not even talking about telescope.. I thought I'll upload this. just had bash at orion when i found my fiend's camera lying around on the sofa.

Nothing fancy, Nikon d70 on a tripod for 20s at ISO 640 with a standard lens. A bit of very rough tweaking and resizing in CS2.

A nice image. Certainly shows up the light pollution. You must be blinded when you go to the front of the house. Also a number of "friendly neighbours".

Nice shot. The light hasn't interferred with the starscape, and I think it adds a little something to the image.

Excellent shot Marius and for once i think the l p actually enhances the picture.The houses and trees make a good contrast to the sky,makes a very nice setting.

Thanks guys a lot i really like the picture myself, I'm just a bit angry this is the only way I can "touch" the sky right now, and the possibilities are limited with no driven mount..
