iPhone moon shots 3rd Sept 2014

Oh no you say, he's at it again!!

Took these last night using the Vixen, 12.5mm BGO and my iPhone 5 in a SteadyPix holder. 12.5mm gives x108.

Seeing wasn't brilliant so there is some atmospheric CA in these, which I got rid of in the last one to sharpen it up a bit.

I use the app ProCam as it gives better control of focus and exposure, plus you can set a burst of images off after a timer so the scope has time to settle and you can pick the best image.

I've done a little processing in another app called OneStop Edit Free which gives a little basic functionality.

I was up to the same last night accept with my dslr, yours come out better than mine I guess you had tracking? I was just using my dob and a 2x barlow so they are not as sharp as yours.

Nice one. I didn't have tracking, just a manual alt az mount but the scope is not too shabby ;-)
