Jim Steele
I bagged my first DSO last night from the back garden, M13. A great looking fuzzy patch of stars even through my humble 4" achromat. Took a little effort to find but a unmistakable smudge of stars which looked good at x40, and x80. Anyway I was so giddy with excitement so just thought I'd share.Clear skies Ben

O-RICH
its the only 1 i can find on command lol, m92 is close-by but that takes me longer. m10 & m12 should be your next challenge, much fainter and more isolated.

ronl
Congrat's on your first DSO, your first of many, it's a lovely sight everytime you observe it, I love going back to my favorite targets and M13 isone of them, make it your first target next time you get out, this time youwill find it quite easily, the more you observe the same target it gets easierto find, good luck for your next session. Jim Steele
Thanks all, I did try to find a few more but alas they illuded me. I'm having a trip to Wales in August so hopefully will be much darker skies
AndyWB
I would suggest M11 (Wild Duck Cluster) would be good to try for the next one - and then if you can, see if you can pick up M17 (Omega Nebula), and follow the trail of Messier objects down from there. Best with a low southern horizon. Get 'em while it's summer!
laudropb
Congratulations !! M13 was my first DSO too. As has been suggested, M92 is relatively easy to locate once you know your way to M13
