That was very frustrating! After setting up my F15 in the obs with the Lunt wedge, guess what? Yep the clouds rolled in, blue sky gone.

Just managed to get this one in at about 1300 before the mount tried a flip. The break in the cloud only gave me 1600 wobbly frames so this is the best 500 from that.

Scope - 4" F15 Fullerscopes Deluxe Achromat c1979

Camera - QHY IMGOH mono

Wedge - Lunt 1.25" with ND and polarising filter

Its a bit dark and needsat least another 6000 plus frames but the British weather stopped that  Grrrr.

Still I managed to get a shot of whats coming round the corner so to speak

A super shot but why do you need so many frames? the surface of the Sun will change over that time and this will result in blur

More frames = more data and more to work with on processing.

1600 frames with this camera amounts to about 90 to 100 seconds, that's not going to blur with a 4" F15 telescope from this distance. Things just don't happen that fast on the sun at this resolution to make any difference e.g. for me to get a blur in that time with this kit its gonna have to be on big outburst on the sun
