Compromise on battery for mounts

It depends in the charger and if it has a shut of when charged otherwise it would overcharge and damage the battery. To be honest I woukdnt bother but would just charge the battery every 2-3 months whike in storage and make sure it doesnt freeze ie if kept on the garage floor.

I've purchased a 60Ah leisure battery to power one night's imaging so has to power the mount (Mesu 200), DSLR and laptop for ~5 hrs.

Battery £55 and intelligent charger £20, both off eBay.

Discharging a battery 100% (to 10,5V) won't kill it. But you have to recharge it within hours.

This will shorten the life of the battery, but a good quality leasure battery will still give you many discharge cycles.
