Witches Broom in colour... and Technicolour :)

Last nights Bijou imaging session supplied the OIII subs to add to previously captured Ha data, combining these allowed me to make a colour image of the Witches Broom. Here I've posted a (boring) bi-colour rendition and also my own Technicolour version :-)  OK, it's a little bright... well a lot bright, but I like it.

Hmm. Need to crop the stacking artifacts...

Well, you've certainly got plenty of colour (and brightness) in there now!

I think the Witches Broom is one of the best imaging targets to bring out these beautiful inter-weaving colours. Of the two versions I prefer the first which has come out very well. The saturation of the blues/magentas are a tad overdone though since these also come through quite strongly in the background colour as well.

They're both really nice images Chris. If I had to vote, I'd go for the first one too. "Bijou" imaging session - sounds like mine - 4 x 20 mins before cloud stopped play.
