May 11, 2014: Ultra short glimpse in H-alpha

At 17:15 CEST or so I got a very brief glimpse of the sun in my LS35, and the dominant features were the intricate patterns of light and dark around the massive ARs just north of centre on the disk. To the east, a couple of bright proms stood out from the limb (both northwards and southwards). Northeast, on the disk a couple of dark filaments showed. I only had a very brief view before clouds rushed in, but it was enough to put a smile on my face.

Nice report, Michael. Glad you got a look-in! A complete blank for Sarah and I today with the Sun. I am hoping the Moon will poke through the clouds for 10 mins!

Glad the Sun popped out in Groningen, hasn't stopped raining here all day.

Looks like it could make a reappearance mid week though.
