What is this planet next to the moon?

Hi

Please look at the picture and let me know what that planet/star left/bottom of the moon in the picture is (I know it's not next to the moon, but next to it in the picture.)

I see it every morning on my way to work in the night sky.

Is it Venus? It is very bright much brighter that the picture shows.

I am in Atlanta-USA

Yes! Venus it is.  You could download "Stellarium" - its free - and it shows the night sky.  Just set your longitude and latitude (nearest degree will do if you are just looking around) and time zone and it will show you the sights.

If you google Stellarium you will find the download.  I use it all the time before I go out observing/imaging.  It's like a roadmap when you go on a trip.

 You should have pretty decent views of Venus  looking east around 6am before sunrise?

One of the great things about Stellarium is that you can not only see the sky at your location - but you can also see the sky at other folks locations just by changing the coordinates. Most people specify their rough location in their avatar - and if they also state the date/time of a specific sighting, you can see exactly what they're looking at - anywhere in the world.
