Orion in 60 mm telescope

i want to watch the orion nebula with my newly homemade 60 mm telescope , 

i can the see the moon and the planets quite good. but when i turn it to orion nebula , i cant see anything exept some stars..

Can anybody help..

Are you sure you managed to find the Nebula? It should be easily visible in your scope (even if it is just a bit of fuzzyness) as you can see it OK with binoculars.

Were your eyes dark adapted? It's quite faint.

I quite often look at it with a 60mm, and how well it shows nebulosity greatly depends on the light pollution, make sure you are at quite a low power and fit a long dew shield to stop any light getting in thats not wanted. Also if you havent done so blacken the inside of the tube.
