After yesterdays poor showing I got out this morning but again the wind made life hard, I did manage a pic yesterday but it's not the greatest. I  put it on astrobin for the sake of book keeping http://www.astrobin.com/users/JB80/ if anyone is interested.

Anyway, today wasn't great with the wind and seeing, I chose 12 variable subs out of 100 and had a pig of a time trying to get them to stack I eventually got something.

Just really confirms to me that under trying conditions the 6" filter and scope struggles.

At least you managed an image!  Clouded out here at the moment, it may clear later but it looks as if the seeing will be awful.

That's true, kept the run going at least.

The forecast(which I don't trust) says the wind should die down this afternoon and if it does I may give it another try.

Nice one. Lots of spots captured. That AR closest to the centre is showing very nice detail in H-alpha too.

It does seem loaded with energy, wish conditions were a bit better here.

Well done getting them to stack, Jarrod, there's still a ton of detail to see   I really struggle to get my captures to stack when they are iffy, I binned some old captures yesterday that I've given up on.
