Anyone recommend some flat black paint for OTA

Hi All

I am trying to locate some black paint for my dew shield. Needless to say the flatter and more matte the  better. Also before it is mentioned I have already tried to flock it but because it is an extendable dew shield the tolerances make it impossible to fit the dew shield when flocked so paint is my only option

I use a tin of blackboard paint from B&Q. Very matte and very black. Hth

Blackboard paint needs stirring very thoroughly, the black is at the top, the matte is on the bottom of the tin.

Rustins acrylic blackboard paint.  When I refurbished my home made dob I used this stuff and it's very good.

Try Tamiya XF matt black!  Acrylic paint .. 4-5 jars depending on the dew shield size

I went with wilko black board paint in the end. Needless to say brushing it on was not the best so I decided to flat it down with fine emery which made it in to a flat matte grey. Debateable to whether there is going to be any improvement over the original anodising for my troubles but as flock didn't work I don't see that I had much alternative than to give paint a try.
