Another M42 + NGC1977

Managed another short 30 min session last night after the first one was cut short by a snow shower, after another shower came decided to call it a night.

12 mins worth - 18 x 40 secs @ ISO 800, unmodded Canon 400D + 6" f8 Newt at prime focus unguided

Sounds like you had to hurry to get this Brendan, however, It's

a real good result. plenty of depth, colour, and good stars.

It is a nice picture all round I reckon.

Thanks forr the comments guys, no sign of it clearing here so dont know if I will have to wait till next year to get a decent shot of this one as it is dissapearing over some trees now by 9.00pm.
