I included several progressive frames of it in one of my solar talks. At the time, I calculated it to be ~241,000 km from the surface to the center of the loop. Or, well over half the distance from Earth to the Moon. Stretched out to a straight line, I'm fairly sure it would reach the Moon from Earth.Turning the image blue to bring out more detail is called "false color", and is done quite a lot by the Hubble Space Science Institute.
