Supernova SN2014J - slight recovery ?

I've just been having a peek at our SN in M82 and I fancy that it is just a tad brighter than last time I looked a couple of nights back ?.

My notes had it then at around mag 12.3 / 12.4 but tonight it seems to closely match a nearby mag 12.1 star.

Or is my eye deceiving me ?  :undecided:

Yes, I agree, it could just as easily be seeing conditions rather than any actual brightening.

It's still quite a prominent SN - nice that it's hung around long enough to let so many folks get a good look at it

I'll have another go tonight, if possible. BBC forecast is now showing clear, although its cloudy overhead in actual fact... . Be nice to see the sn again before it fades for good.
