What did I see?

Can someone help please. Was trying to look at M109, not even sure if you can see this with a scope.

Anyway, I was focused in the area of M109 and something travelled across my line of sight. I think it could be a satellite but not sure how to find which one.

I was quick enough to move the scope an inch and get another sighting, same thing, moving right to left across the scope. Couldn't be seen with the naked eye.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Mark

There are numerous satellites up there and they do have a habit of appearing in the eyepiece ...

I doubt very much whether you saw the ISS on this occasion though as you state that it was not visible to the naked eye , the ISS is one of the brightest objects up there , on par with Venus , so you would definitely have seen it unaided.
