NGC 2174/5 - 24-01-08 - Atik 16HR - Narrow Band Filters

This is a practice run at using the Atik with narrow band filters. I hope to do some long exposure work with this setup. The framing is not quite right but decided to carry on rather than restart.

130mm APO at F6 , 35mins - Ha , 35 mins OIII , synthesised green chan.The images were taken with 5 min subs. Next fine night ( will there be one ?) I hope to increase the subs length to about 8 or 10 mins and follow Martin's primer.

As has been said, it's looking great. Get some more time on that and it will be a stunner.

As Martin says, some more time, and it has all the 'makings' of a 'top notch' image.

Even as it is, its pretty damn good.
