Celestron Nexstar 6SE/8SE dimensions ?

Celestron Nexstar owners :

can you tell me what is the width of the base of the tripod when extended for use ?

Alternatively is it a quick detach to unclip(?) the brace tray and narrow the extended tripod if you see what I mean ?

The reason I ask is that I have recently had some good times with my binos while dodging the rain / hail showers, incredebly clear transparent skies between, ,

so I am thinking that one of the Nexstars might be a good upgrade, so that when a shower threatens I can run indoors with the assembled contraption almost as quick as I do now with my binos !

Will the extended tripod go thro' my doorway ?!

I have a SkyMax 127, whose footprint is likely to be similar to the 6SE. I can't get that through the back door door when its legs are fully extended, but it's a quick job to shorten them, and then I can.
