I guess at least if you are buying the likes of Televue Pentax or BGO secondhand then buying and selling is not so bad. I made the mistake of buying all my Meades, and that was rather a lot, new and I lost well over 1500 quid when I sold them in almost the same condition. There is no doubt that the afore mentioned  do hold their resale value better than most.

I mean 1500 quid is almost a 16 inch Dobsonian.

Yep, that's me too. Although nothing recently - all mine are Panoptic, Radian and Pentax (plus a bunch of Vixens).

9mm Hutech ortho

8mm Ethos

6mm BGO

So, a bit of a mix n match lineup really, but at least it keeps me in the game!

I haven't done up any kind of report as yet as I've only used it a handful of times, but so far I'm very impressed indeed with the big beastie!
