Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 - 14th December 2014.

A clear morning. I got up just before the Moon set.
The Geminids were fabulous, flashing across the sky and lots of bright slow ones.
My main quest was Comet Lovejoy.
ED80 wider field to get as much of the tail as possible.

Then prime focus in my 190 Mac-Newt.

(Oops! I just noticed the title - I'm ahead of my time).

Where is Lovejoy at the moment, I had no joy trying to spot it this morning with my 10X70 binos.

It's just by the "belt" of Hercules.

Thanks for that, no wonder I couldn't find it this morning  I was looking lightyears away from there, I will try tomorrow, it should be clear.

BTW, excellent photographs of the comet, absolutely excellent.
