mix of 2 nights worth 300s at ISO800 and one night 600s at ISO800

stacked in DSS, processed in PS5

odd - the upload produces strange background defects in the small stars - what's that about??

Wow, that's a marathon data collection session! It's looking good too.

As for the defects, I think that jpegs get squished horribly in the upload process. Try a larger .png file - they seem to fare better in the upload battle.

haha, I too will be going back over all my old data soon - just got Pixinsight and have watched all of Harry's vids now and played with the tools (it really is excellent software).

But first I have a horribly noisy M101 i'm struggling with (95% noise, 5% M101) so will try and make that halfway presentable first.  It does feel a little like I'm polishing.. err..  something I shouldn't be polishing though.
