Opticstar AR90S Gold

This is more curiosity than any definite intension but does anyone have experience of this scope.

I suspect its the same or similar as this TS Optics one:

There seems to a few mixed opinions about Opticstars services. I bought a star diagonal from them and its been OK for what I paid.  

Any thoughts?

I had the star sky 90mm which i think was an older version, was a nice scope, good for wide fields with nice optics, a bit better than the ST80

Hi Jules, greetings from over the moor. Thanks for that - you've described pretty much where I'm thinking at. The ST102  is an obvious one to consider, but this AR90S looks well put together from photos that is.

I suspect they have the same optics and are just re-badged, certainly nice to have a dual 2" and 1.25" focuser which you don't get with the ST102 .

I just sold the 80mm F5 version. It wasnt Opticstar but identical except for the badge. Nice little scope built like a tank. full metal consruction. I used it for a bit of imaging, but as you would expect  there was quite a bit of false colour going on. And great as a portable scope too.

i bought both the ed80 apo and achro from optic star,solid build,like said earlier.have just bought qhy5-ii,time to go to the dark side.
