Yes as you say aquired by torquay grammar school.

Telescope was made or commissioned by broadhurst clarkson and fuller ltd it appeared in their adverts in astronomy now in the late 1980's..

surprised no one bought it when it was advertised on ABS.

I am guessing that they had an absolute flood of enquiries and then realised that they had priced it too low. Hence withdrawing the ad and listing on ebay where they will certainly get more for it.

Yep, was watching that down to the post, complete with itchy trigger finger.  Only thing stopping me was the sure knowledge that I'd never get to use it............... 'cos I'd be "toast"!!!!!

Hope whoever the lucky person was, can restore and use the beast to it's full effect.
