I have heard alot about a guy called Steve Richards on this site who has posted help sheets on many subjects. How do I find him? If I type his name in the search box I get nothing.

You had better explain "find him".

Do you mean a username to send a PM to, or an address to go knock on his door ?

Term is somewhat ambiguous.

find him means to find the posts that I am told are on the forum but I guess he has a user name that I do not have , only his name. Many thanks proto star for link to imaging tool box, interesting. Jay

He's a moderator on here, Steppenwolf is his name! He is the writer of the book 'Making Every Photon Count' - A super book for imagers.

It was the wording used that had me a bit puzzled.

You said How do I find him, not what is his username or how do I PM or contact him.

He is I suspect one of the relatively few people on SGL that I suspect you could actually locate. If I recall his signature contain enough information. Everyone says to give an idea of your location but nothing too specific. Hence Cambridge in my case being the biggest place around and close enough.

He is usually on the imaging sections, was earlier today anyway.

I've just had a RED backwards, "Oh that Steve Richards?!" moment! 

I've been enjoying his Deep Sky Tours in the S@N magazine (and his Scope Doctor articles) for some time (nearly 4 years!) now, but not being an SGL APer, I hadn't put the two together!
