What a start to the day

Just took advantage of a break in the clouds and gazed upon the orion nebula, Jupiter and its moons and the plaiedes. What a start to the day   . Only problem is new neighbours and I think they are trying to light up the whole area (at 5.30 in the morning).

Nice one. Good start to the day. Thought about getting up early myself for a GRS transit, but .....didn't!! Good luck with the neighbours, maybe a pleasant word early might help you there.

I had people in a house close to my back garden who decided its fashionable to not bother with any curtains or blinds, and seemed to think it was simpler to leave lights on all the time rather than waste away the lights witch. Thankfully they moved ! Yay.

It is a lovely sight, that's the glory of binoculars - even naked eye. As you say, a top up of wonder to start the day.
