IanL
It looks like it might be a variant of the Molex 90331-0010 (http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0903310010_CRIMP_HOUSINGS.xml&channel=Products&Lang=en-US). They were used for PC power supplies back in the dark ages but are obsolete so you may struggle to get a new one. If it is that, they are a crimp-terminal and housing type connector, which makes them pretty hard to salvage but you might be able to find one in an old PC.Hard to tell from a picture though. Failing getting a replacement, you could solder wires on to the six existing pins and use a non-obsolete six-pin plug and socket.

No, it's not! Molex connector you are suggesting is crimped, the connector in the picture is IDC...you may struggle to get a new one. ..no problem - you can get anything...Hard to tell from a picture though....just need a bit more info, starting with a pitch of pins for example and anything written on the body of connector? AstroTux
It looks very much like a Molex connector - and I sometimes still use them!!!! . As the casing of the connector is intact I take it that the internals are giving problems. It would be fairly straightforward, but fiddly as they need crimping, to replace them. They are readily available on fleabay, such as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crimp-Terminal-for-2-54mm-0-1-pitch-Lot-of-50-/170559329311?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item27b620d41f , but you should be able to find them almost anywhere using a search for 0.1" crimp terminals.Hope this helps,Alanedit: Just been beaten to it by the previous reply. You can also get 6 pin headers to go with the 0.1" crimps if you need to change it.
bambuko
They are not crimped and most likely candidates are MTA100 or something very similarThey are easy to get from ebay and many other sources. You could replace them with crimped version if you have difficulty with IDC, but may be limited by available space
bambuko
and... you cannot use crimped connectors in the housing designed for IDC connectors.
libraryman
Hi all sorry for the late reply, had the Novo virus thing, near death experience for a bloke!!The connector has U-22 amp written on it, other than that it's blank, the pins are spaced at 2.5 mm centres and are about .07 mm in section.can't tell if they are crimped, the pins have a small leaf on them that holds it into the housing but it's not easy to remove them.Ray
bambuko
... the pins are spaced at 2.5 mm centres...ie they are on .1" spacing (hence MTA100)...are about .07 mm in section...header pins are .025"square or 0.64mm square (decimal place wrong)...can't tell if they are crimped, the pins have a small leaf on them that holds it into the housing but it's not easy to remove them...You might not be able, but I can and already did tell you - they are IDC terminated (not crimped)So, like I said before 6 way MTA100 wire to post connector (or equivalent).Having said all this - what you can do is to un-solder the header from PCB and replace it with just about any wire to board header and connector as long as it is on .1" pitch and uses .025" pins (then you can use crimp, idc or solder whatever suits you)Any more questions - don't hesitate
libraryman
Many thanks for the clarification, never knew what IDC termination was until now, though i now recognise it on telephone sockets.Sometimes; knowing what to ask for is half the issue so thanks againRay
