I love all this stargazing stuff, I cud sit here for hours reading through this forum, theres so much to learn.

I started a thread in the beginners forum with the title 'Vivitar 900 114' and asked a few question about it, the response was amazing, I now know about Plossl and Kellner and have downloaded the Stellarium, wow.

I had a cheap tasco scope when I was a kid and loved spending hours in the back garden looking at the moon. Ever since then I have always been fascinated with the sky at night but never really got the opportunity to take it further. I'm in my 30's now and have never picked up a telescope since, but this xmas my parents bought me a scope and it has got me excited again.

I might be asking a few more questions in the near future, so just bare with me, I know very little but want to know more.

Many Thanks

Welcome to the form Feisar. Read and learn as much as you can. A lot of astro equipment is expensive, and it helps if you know exactly what you need and where to shop for it. Bear in mind, a lot of good stuff can be bought second hand, and forum based sellers are for the most part very genuine people, and what they sell is usually in good order.

Ron.
