PhotoGav
Here's my attempt at NGC-7000, The North America Nebula:SW 80ED with FF/R on HEQ5, unguided. Canon 30D - unmodded.11 x 360s subs9 x 360s darksI am about to get hold of a 50D, so hopefully will enjoy an increase in quality. I would like to have the camera modded - can anyone recommend a reliable technician to do this at a reasonable cost? Alternatively, how stupid is it to attempt the mod myself? Are there any disadvantages to modding the camera (apart from daylight use, which I'm not worried about)? Thanks,Gav. badgers
That's pretty darn spectacular for an unguided and unmodded camera. Nice going.I did my 40D mod myself it's definitely doable if you take your time. I replaced the filter with a Baader one so that I can still use autofocus and use it for regular pictures.I introduced plenty of dust when I did it which has rendered it pretty poor for regular photography.Alternatively Astronomiser can do it for you.Anton
