First attempt at solar imaging - 8/9/2013 - white light

HI all,

Finally got around to fitting the solar filter to my 130p - tried taking some pictures in white light with my phone camera. I used the filters in Instagram to colour three of them and applied a bit of cropping.

Could only see one sunspot this morning - take a look...

Wish it had been a bit more prominent - cheaper than hydrogen-aplha though!

You couldn't have picked a trickier day , probably the quietest disc for about 15 months ...

Hopefully it'll get busy again real soon to give us all something to see ....
