Thanks Peter for the 'heads up'. Its very hazy in Hereford so I did use the PST today. However, after your advice just been out and had a look - despite the haze it is impressive.

Thanks Peter. Luke rang me after he had seen your alert and I managed to get a quick look at it. The sun then went behind a cloud and it had almost disappeared by the time the cloud had moved out of the way, so I only just caught it. I might not have seen it at its best, but it was still an amazing view!

Very pleased that my heads up gave the chance for others to catch it, being retired I'm able to keep a good eye on developments. This particular event changed so rapidly it was difficult for me to leave the eyepiece to get on the computer to report it, this was the second Tuesday in a row that such an outburst has happened, hope it's cyclic.
