Milkyway over Birmingham,at last.

Finally managed to get a decent-ish image of the Milkyway over Brum last night,summat i have been wanting to do since i took this hobby up.

Taken from my back garden using my new camera mount that i made so i'm pleased to say that its worked.

This is 15x45sec lights 11x45 darks.Using the Nikon D90 ISO 320 at f5.6.Stacked in DSS and processed in CS3.

Excellent That's some wicked light pollution you have to cope with there.

That's great and over a city like Birmingham too. I did get a faint glimps of the Milky Way the other night so I think I will give this a go next time I manage to get out.
