Eris through amateur telescope?

Hi everyone!

I've just been wondering if Eris could ever be photographed through an amateur telescope, with very long exposures. It's around magnitude 18, so theoretically possible, but very hard. But has anyone ever done it, or seen it done?

Entirely possible; I've seen some pics of Eris taken by a C9.25.

I am note sure if anyone has imaged it with and amateur scope, though I suspect it would just be a point of light judging by the Hubble's image of Eris below.

Well done David - I imaged Eris in Nov 2008 with my Lodestar-M on 30cm SCT - for my pic Google "starlight xpress lodestar" and go to bottom of page
