Explorere 200p / EQ5 RA Ring problem

Newby to this but trying to learn how set up EQ5 correct/level/aligned etc. On You tube found various guys telling me all sorts of different ideas. One that I have followed in setting up the EQ5 correct explains how to use a boat spirit level and using the the RA and DEC rings to ensure is all set up correct. Think I have grasped what he is saying but here is the problem. When I set the RA ring to 1800 hours like he says and fix in place with the grab screw when I rotate mount on the RA axis but the RA time ring slips around and does not move with the stand. hope this makes sense.

Should the RA ring slip once it has been fixed with the grub screw? or aim I missing something here? Sorry if a novice at this first venture into space.

The ring only locks in one position. Have a look at Astro Baby's excellent guide http://www.astro-baby.com/HEQ5/HEQ5-1.htm

It works just as well with the EQ5 and has saved me loads of time and frustration. It looks fiddly but the first two pages only need doing once.
