Exmoor obseving sites and accomodation

I had hoped to get down to Olly's in the south of France this year, but leaving it too late and other commitments mean it will have to wait until next year. As a stop gap, I am thinking of a few days on Exmoor somewhere.

Have any of you been? I would love to hear how good/bad you found it, and any tips on accomodation.

Getting itchy for a decent dark sky.........

hi alan if your keen on truely dark skys head for breckon, ask swampthing and pingster if they travel as far as they do it must be worth it

Ahh, a fair point faulksy!! Need somewhere easy to get to at short notice.

Just seen this thread. I stayed at Foxtwitchen cottages on exmoor in march. www.leyscottages.co.uk
