Just before I did shoot the moon I did my first try in solar photography, mounted the sun foil and took this very first shot through my 90/900 refractor. Apparently first thought was that there is some dirt on the lens but indeed I did shoot some sunspots :-)

Do you guys see circles in the sun? If you do, apparently the original picture is flawless, single yellowish tone throughout and clear sunspots.

Hi,

Nice first photo. You shouldn't see the circles, they are probably coming from your camera or processing, if you used any. Try reducing the exposure or set to manual if you used auto.

I do believe the photo is auto-compressen when uploaded to the forum hemce the circles.

It's a great start just need a bit of trials to get the right settings to get rid of the rings.

Yes - good start. The image looks very pixellated so it would seem to be a compression issue.

A very good effort. Stacking lots of images is the way forward if you're not doing that.
