127 Mak M3 -- happy(ish) at last

M3 with my unguided 127 Mak and unmodded 450D last night. A much better result than my previous two. 45 frames of 45 seconds stacked in DSS with darks. I'm quite tempted to try some longer exposures though I think the brighter stars might blow fairly badly if I do. Could do with a bit less noise in the background, but I didn't want to push the black point up any further.

Great improvement over the other post - coming on well. Longer exposures may saturate the brighter stars. Probably more control with more subs...

Yes, perhaps lowering the noise floor with more subs would give as much of an improvement as any that might be possible with longer subs.
