Mead F6.3 reducer ED 80

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Could anyone please tell me what would be required to mount the Mead F6.3 rcer on to an either SW ED 80 or SW ED 100, evostar . I know people have had very good success with the f6.3 reducer just not sure about the fittings.

Many thanks for your help.

It's got SCT threads so you can fit a 2" SCT visual back on the back end and 2" diagonal or 1 1/4" reducer or spacers and camera. Not sure how it will work on the front end but must be

something to join it to the scope . If imaging you need about 110mm from the flange with the writing on to the CCD sensor.

Hi Dave,

Many thanks for your reply, I was thinking of using an orion SCT 2" adapater and just push the unit into the draw tube, but Ihave no idea of how to get the other end connected to the CCD, there isa Baader click lock adapter but ar £56.00 is quite expensiveeven if it fits.

this is all you need http://www.rotherval...cess_d4965.html you sandwich the 6.3 reducer between the 2 parts you will need extension tubes as well in order to get the chip to reducer distance correct

Hi

Many thanks,

I actually found a similar item on TS Germany online shop and ordered the bits, just need to get the spacers sorted out now, if all works I will have an 80 mm ED scope with f4.7 for imaging.

Thanks for all your help.
