jb1970
Hello,Does anybody clamp their SLR to their telescope to photograph using projection? Does it work OK, if so where could I get a clamp for my EOS 350D?ThanksJack
lunator
JackWith a 350 you don't need to project. You can attach the camera to the scope. http://www.firstlightoptics.com/products.php?cat=55Have a look at this page.CheersIan
trevboyd
Jack, I tried projection when I started, but I found that the lens on the 350D was so much wider than the eyepiece that it was next to impossible to see anything. I got a T-Ring (already had an adaptor to attach that to the scope - came with the scope - SkyWatcher Evostar 120) and that works a treat. I had to remove the diagonal to get it to focus.Trev

Ant
I was about to go back down this route. With my last camera (that I foolishly sold), the afocal method introduced major vignetting unless the zoom lens was zoomed in (about half way to full zoom was required).I will be giving this another go, but after reading this thread I will try everything hand held before investing money in something that may not work.CheersAnt
