Conjunction was just less than a month ago. Given another month or so it might be possible (though very difficult, I imagine) to see it during the day. I think to see it in the night sky will mean waiting until December, with opposition around mid-April 2014.

Hi Roger, as James says opposition is not until spring 2014. I tend to leave Mars until its reached 10 arc sec before trying to image it. It will reach this size in mid Feb next year and be at least that big until mid June.
