White light Sun, 29th April

Irritatingly the first have of the day was too cloudy for imaging and I had to wait until gone 2pm for some decent size patches of clear sky. Still lost a fair few subs to cloud, so I shot a few more to make up for it.

So, 140 frames of 1/1000th @ ISO 100 with the 450D/127 Mak, binned 21 after preprocessing in PIPP and stacked 50% of the remainder at a quality level of better than 98% in Registax v6.

Very nice to see so much activity , especially with the promise of more to come and a few clear days forecast. I might try to get up at the crack of 8am to get some early subs in if it looks good.

Well done James - there seems to be quite a bit developing including a possible "appearance" round the limb in the Northern hemisphere?

Looks like there's a possibility of something there. Perhaps it will be more obvious tomorrow.
