NEQ6 weight problems

Noticed yesterday that after doing a balance on the NEQ6 mount, when slewing the counter weights start to move down the shaft.

They have been tighten as far as they can be but seem to be able to spin round the shaft due only having a small contact point between shaft and screw.

Anybody else having the same problem?

Has the rubber/plastic tip come off the end of the screw?

I had something similar happening on my HEQ5.

The plastic tips are all in place. Never had this problem with other mounts. The tips dont seem to be very large. might try to clue something with a bit more grip.

Other alternative is to have all the weights at the bottom of the shaft and adjust the length of the shaft to achieve balance. Will try that and see what happens

He shaft got some oil on it ? Might be worth giving the shaft a degrease. Never seen that even with four weights on.

Put some stickers around the shaft and then seal them on with cellotape. It thickens the shaft just enough to allow the weight to grip nicely. I've done it with one of mine and it works a treat (the other weight is fine strangely enough). HTH

Shaxt been given a good clean and weights gripping much better now

Don't forget to degrease the tips as well.
