To anyone that has built their own cases for their 'scopes or eyepiece collection, where was the best place to buy the protective foam from? Having a bash at making my own eyepiece case and was after the best place to get it from

thanks

I am in the process of just finishing my third home made case for my latest set up.

I know that normal furniture foam starts to degrade when it gets wet,due to dew when packing away in our situation.

In the three cases i have made so far i have used the foam packing that comes with the scopes.

This is a lot denser than the furniture foam so doesn't absorb the water/moisture/dew.

On saying that though the foam in the Maplins flight cases seems to be holding up well, not that mine has had a lot of use really though??
