This is my first go at imaging Mars. 130mm APO , DMK camera.

Even with a 5X PowerMate barlow ( F30) its still a bit small. I think it needs F40 to F50 to get a decent scale.

At least some detail is visible.

You can see the class of your scope in this image John. Everything you would want is in this image.

You will up the image scale at f40/50, but the longer focal length will dim the image further, so exposure times will need to balance that, I think.

The more expert of planet imaging will correct me perhaps.
