i'll add to this, could be a bargain for someone if the auction doesn't go up, and to be honest most ebay buyers are looking for goto and techy stuff..

I agree with what you say re: good scopes getting overlooked but the B&L SCT's had a pretty poor reputation. I'd steer clear of that even for £200. They were originally known as the Criterion Dynamax 8.

I used to have one of these Polish Maks, the optics were very good indeed as were those of the eyepieces which were small but wide angle. A bit undersize for "serious" astro viewing.

ah right to be honest i never knew that , it looked nice lol.. sounded rare i just assumed it was a good quality 80-90's scope..
