Ant
Nice, I like these widefield shots. I think there should be more of them - helps beginners find their way around.Suprised that there is no hint of the milky way... or that could be my monitor.RegardsAnt
beamer3.6m
Suprised that there is no hint of the milky way... or that could be my monitor.Nope, I think it is the limitation of the camera. It is not a DSLR and at 30 second subs I think I was hoping for a little too much.
Roy Batty
I guess you used your webcam for these shots?Nice sharp stars.BTW how many dark frames did you take?RB
Ant
The FOV is massive - far to big for a webcam. What camera was it taken with...?

Cloudwatcher
I like that image very much, beamer. As an illustration of the big 'W' as seen by the naked eye I think it's just about on the button. At higher resolution the main stars in both M103 and the 'Owl' can be clearly seen. If the FOV was a bit wider or the 'W' more to the left of frame I'm sure part of the Double Cluster would also have been visible. All in all,a fine picture. Cheers and thanks for sharing.CW

It's good fun even if the results aren't all that great.CheersCW(click as usual)
legion48
Nice one Beamer. Cass is one of my favourite constellations. Various parts if it are really helpful as pointers to other objects.Nice Owl highlight CW.
